fabric, foam, video, sound, (dimensions variable)_ This installation stems from a sense of gray that clouds our lives today. Old attitudes of control and pedestal sitting blanket our humanity. The animals are suspicious and try to herald a warning, but to be posed and cloaked is the status quo. Clouds fleet by continuously on a television balanced in the lap of a figure leaning against a cow. The television tells us that the sky is blue, but is it?

Wishes handwritten on rice paper were gathered from a wide range of people from five different countries. They were then tied to 3 hoop-like structures and hung by pulleys that were anchored to large rocks on the floor. As the light shined through the papers and as the hoops swayed with air from the ventilation system, shadows on the floor created a fluid affect like water. _ The Irving Art Center, Texas.
